Earrings inspired by Cambodia’s National Flower, the Romdoul!
One of the most special skills that we have as diasporic people is creativity. We choose to imagine and create things that remind us of our ancestral homelands, even when we might not have access to the correct materials and ingredients. While our lives are challenging, our creativity and resilience is beautiful.
This stunning set of earrings is my take on creating something that reminds me of Cambodia, while making it very Cambodian American. The Romdoul flower usually has a large center, but I Had some limitations… so instead, I designed this beautiful Romdoul-ish stud earring with champa pka dangle backs.
Each set comes with an additional set of silicone backings, so you can wear the studs by themselves for a dangle-free look!
